The Aswang.  More specifically the Manananggal.  Mythical creatures of the Philippines, it is a combination between a vampire and a witch.  They can also shape-shift.  The Aswang enjoy eating small children and sucking the unborn fetuses out of their mothers’ wombs. Edward Cullen’s got some competition.  SO THAT’S WHAT MY GRANDMA SCARED ME WITH. I don’t fully speak tagalog. Shame is bestowed upon me I know.
